Permitting and Stormwater Division
As of September 1, 2024, all NEW permits and inspections will be applied for and inspected by Catoosa County Building Inspection for the following areas/trades:
Building
Electric
HVAC
Plumbing
Roofing
New Business Inspection
Inspections for all permits issued BEFORE September 1, 2024, will continue to be scheduled for inspection with the City of Fort Oglethorpe.
Any inquiries, applications, or inspections regarding the following areas will continue to be served by the City of Fort Oglethorpe:
Driveway/Street Cut
Food Service Plumbing/Grease Trap
Sewer Plumbing
Zoning/Annexation
Stormwater/BMP
Our staff reviews plans, issues building permits, and performs inspections to ensure Code compliance related to aspects of life – safety, structural integrity, handicap accessibility, and electrical, plumbing, fuel gas, heating and air conditioning systems and energy codes.
