The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council of Fort Oglethorpe and is responsible for providing for the representation and defense of the City in all litigation in which the city is a party and may also be the prosecuting officer in the municipal court. The City Attorney attends the meetings of the City Council as directed and advises the city council, mayor, and other officers and employees of the City concerning legal aspects of the City’s affairs.
Robert L. Stultz has over 30 years of experience serving the people of Northwest Georgia as a trial lawyer and judge. In 1987, he founded his own firm, where he has defended the rights of countless clients in a wide range of cases. He has extensive experience in the courtroom, serving as city attorney for the City of Fort Oglethorpe as well as Judge of the Municipal Court for the City of Ringgold. In 2014, he also served as Catoosa County Probate Court Judge.
