City Attorney

The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council of Fort Oglethorpe and is responsible for providing for the representation and defense of the City in all litigation in which the city is a party and may also be the prosecuting officer in the municipal court. The City Attorney attends the meetings of the City Council as directed and advises the city council, mayor, and other officers and employees of the City concerning legal aspects of the City’s affairs.

Robert L. Stultz brings 40 years of experience serving the people of northwest Georgia as a counselor, trial attorney, and judge. He founded his Fort Oglethorpe practice in 1987 and has since represented clients across a broad range of legal matters. His public service includes serving as Probate Judge for Catoosa County, as well as serving in multiple courts as both a judge and a prosecutor. He has proudly served as the City Attorney since 2012.
