The City of Fort Oglethorpe Economic Development and Events Department hosts and establishes community wide events and the Stable 41 Farmers Market. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the annual City events: Easter Egg Scramble, Labor Day at the Post, FortO-ber Fest, and the Christmas in Fort O. The department also works closely with the Downtown Development Authority and other city community partners.
If you or your organization is interested in holding an event in the City limits please reach out or submit a Special Event Permit which can be found below.
The City of Fort Oglethorpe and Stable 41 Farmers Market were selected and awarded a Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) Grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 2022. This is a three-year award that will assist in funding our Stable 41 Farmers Market located in the historic district of Fort Oglethorpe at 214 First Street.
During the summer of 2023, the Stable 41 Farmers Market received the AgGeorgia Farmers Market Grant which will be used to continue the promotion of the market. Thank you AgGeorgia Farm Credit for selecting Stable 41!
