Business Tax Certificates and Permits
As of September 1, 2024, all NEW Building, HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, and Roofing permits and inspections (including New Business Inspections) will be applied for and inspected by the Catoosa County Building Department for the following areas/trades:
Inspections for all permits issued PRIOR to September 1, 2024, will continue to be scheduled for inspection with the City of Fort Oglethorpe. Inquiries, applications, or inspections regarding the following areas will continue to be served by the City of Fort Oglethorpe are Driveway/Street Cut, Food Service Plumbing/Grease Trap, Sewer Plumbing, Zoning, Annexation, Stormwater, and BMP.
Our staff reviews plans, issues building permits, and performs inspections to ensure Code compliance related to aspects of life – safety, structural integrity, handicap accessibility, and electrical, plumbing, fuel gas, heating and air conditioning systems and energy codes.
