Welcome to Winter Skating at Stable 41!

All posted rules and code of conduct (onsite and online) must be followed by everyone in attendance.

Rules and Guidelines

  • No food, beverages, or gum are permitted on the rink surface, the surrounding dasher boards, or cap rails.
  • No outside food or drink.
  • No sitting on dasher boards, counters, or tabletops.
  • No pushing, fast skating, reckless skating, or playing tag.
  • No acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury to yourself or others.
  • No smoking anywhere inside Stable 41.
  • No hats, combs, tiaras, or other hair accessories.
  • No one is permitted to carry anything in their hands on the rink without the expressed approval of the Winter Skating Attendants or Staff.
  • No one wearing skates is permitted to carry a child.
  • No skating while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or other control-impairing substances.
  • No one under 13 may be left unattended without a parent or guardian.
  • Know your skating ability and skate within your limits.
  • Maintain reasonable control of your speed and course at all times.
  • Maintain a proper skating distance to look out and avoid other skaters, objects, or conditions on the rink’s surface.
  • Skates must remain in the designated area at all times and must be removed before leaving.
  • Skaters must leave the rink surface when maintenance is taking place.
  • Skaters must return skates to the Skate Shack before leaving.
  • Read and abide by all posted signs, warnings, and verbal directions of Winter Skating Attendants or Staff.
  • The city promotes clean, fun, friendly, and safe behavior for our guests; inconsiderate behavior by anyone will not be tolerated.
  • The city reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone not meeting the standards of good behavior and evict persons not following the policies of this rink.
  • Liability waivers are required for all skaters
  • The city reserves the right to check all bags.

UNDERSTANDINGS

  • Skaters understand the assumption of risk agreement; by engaging in skating, skaters are deemed to have knowledge of and assume the inherent risks of skating, which include but are not limited to the following:
  1. Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters or other individuals who are on the skating surface.
  2. Injuries that result from falls.
  3. Injuries involving objects or artificial structures that are properly within the intended path of travel of the skater.

Spectators understand the assumption of risk:

  1. Spectators understand and shall comply with each posted sign or warning and assume the inherent risks of a skating rink.
Additionally:
  • Photo-id required
  • Sessions are 90 minutes long
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your session start time
  • Skates are included, but you can bring your own (if approved)
